Ragweed Allergy
Ragweed grows in rural areas and in vacant lots and fields. There are many species of ragweed in North America. These plants all shed pollen, which is then spread by wind.
Allergies are the result of overactive immune systems. In the healthy body the immune system locates “dangers” to the body such as viruses and then reacts to rid the body.
The ragweed allergy symptoms include sore or inflammed eyes, runny noses, sneezing and respiratory problems.
Skin prick testsĀ have proved successful in many cases. There are also a number of natural substances that can help with this.
